About Our Instructors

Robert W. Thatcher, Ph.D. is the President and CEO of Applied Neuroscience, Inc.  In the past 30 years Dr. Thatcher has evaluated over 20,000 EEG recordings and is considered one of the “Fathers” of qEEG along with Dr. E. Roy John in the 1970s (John and Thatcher, 1977). Dr. Thatcher was on the Board of the American Board of Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology (ABEN) and helped write the examination for both conventional and QEEG certification by the EEG and Clinical Neuroscience Society (ECNS). He is Board Qualified in both Conventional EEG and QEEG (ECNS/ABEN). In addition, he is a Diplomat in the American Board of QEEG, a Certified Neurotherapist, Academy of Certified Neurotherapists and he passed the BCIA certification exam in 1999.
